Social Security Disability

When a person is not able to work, whether as the result of an injury, an illness, or a disabling disease, the result can be devastating for that person and their family. At Ridge Law Group we understand the effect that the inability to work can have on you and your loved ones and will work with you to establish your qualification for Social Security Disability benefits.

Social Security provides benefits for workers and their families when that worker has a “medically determinable impairment” that prevents that person from working and that impairment is expected to last at least twelve months. Benefits can also be paid to a disabled widow/widower of a qualified deceased worker or certain disabled children.

For those who qualify, disability benefits can make the difference for a family or individual who can no longer work. Because the requirements for receiving Social Security Disability benefits are different than the requirements for receiving other types of disability benefits, it is important that you consult with an attorney familiar with these issues. The attorneys of Ridge Law Group can answer your questions and help you receive all of the benefits to which you are entitled.
