Work Comp Benefits for Adverse Reaction to MRI

Ridge & Downes

Petitioner’s injury occurred when he was struck in the head. He sustained a variety of injuries to his face and also an injury to his cervical spine. Petitioner came to our firm from another attorney’s office with a disputed case where Respondent refused to authorize any of his medical treatment. Furthermore, Petitioner sustained additional medical bills after adverse reactions to two different MRI tests that required emergency room and hospital treatment.

Petitioner’s case settled for 8% loss of use of the man as a whole and payment of all of his medical bills, including the treatment that was not originally authorized by Respondent and payment of the hospital bills from treatment after the adverse reactions to the MRIs.
